Argos Pet Insurance

There are 3 levels of pet insurance:

Silver: This includes up to £2,500 in vet’s fees for 12 months per condition

Gold: up to £4,000 in vet’s fees for 12 months per condition

Platinum: up to £7,000 per condition for an unlimited time period. If you have an older dog they could help you as they don't have an upper age limit to cover vet’s fees.

Argos ensures that if your pet is lost or stolen this is covered

 Asda Pet Insurance

Value Pet Insurance: Up to £1500 in vet's fees per condition for 12 months.

Standard Pet Insurance: Up to £3500 in vet's fees per condition for 12 months.

Superior Pet Insurance: Up to £6000 in vet's fees per condition with no time limit.

 10% discount when you insure 2 pets or more (only available by phone)

 Aviva Pet Insurance

Silver
£1500 vet fee cover for a year.
£1 million third party liability (dogs only).
6 months cover abroad (in an EU member country of the PETS travel scheme).

The following are included under vet fees up to the limit shown:
£200 for behavioural problems
£100 cremation/burial costs

Gold
As above but with £3500 vet fee cover for a year. Plus:

£500 for the death of your pet.
£500 recovery expenses
£500 boarding kennel/cattery fees
£1000 holiday cancellation

Platinum
As above but with £6500 vet fee cover for a year. Plus enhanced coverage:

£1000 for the death of your pet
£1000 recovery expenses
£1000 boarding kennel/cattery fees
£2000 holiday cancellation

Alternative/complementary treatments are covered on all 3 policies (up to the vet fee limit) if recommended by your vet.

 Homebase Pet Insurance

Homebase have different types of insurance for cats and dogs.

Cats: 2 levels of insurance - 'Cat Care' & 'Cat Care Plus'. The main difference being the cover for vets fees which is up to £1000 with Cat Care and up to £2500 with Cat Care Plus. Both have a £75 excess.

Dogs: Covered from 8 weeks old. 3 levels of insurance -

Silver: Vet's fees up to £3000.

Gold: Vet's fees up to £5000.

Platinum: Vet's fees up to £7500

All with £75 excess

Petplan offer 3 levels of cover for both dogs and cats.

Pet Value:

Covered For Life Budget Plan:
- Vet fees up to £4000 per year
- Complimentary treatment (up to £750 a year)
- Advertising and reward (up to £250 a year)

- Accident or illness (£500)
- Accidental damage (£250)
- Recovery expenses (£500)
- Holiday cancellation  (£1000)
- Loss by theft or straying (£500)

PDSA Petsurance 7000:
Same as Petsurance 3000 but with up to £7000 towards vet fees per condition. 

They all include a pet legal helpline, pet finder helpline and breavement counselling.

All policies have an excess of £100 which is applied per claimed condition.

Option 1: Cover for up to £3,000 per condition for a maximum of 12 months.

Option 2: Cover for up to £7,500 per condition without time limit providing premiums are paid and up to date.

 Tesco Pet Insurance

There are two levels of insurance:

Standard Cover: insures the cost of treating an injury or illness up to £2,500 per eligible condition and offers a maximum of 12 months cover from the start of the eligible condition.

Extra Cover: insures the cost of treating an injury or illness up to £4,000 per eligible condition. There is no time limit on claiming as long as the policy remains active.
