Condition
A comparison of the term "Pre-existing Condition" in pet insurance policies.
Animal Friends Insurance:
"• any Condition,
symptom or sign of a Condition occurring or existing in any form and at any time prior to the Commencement Date;
or
• any Illness, symptom or sign of an Illness
occurring or existing in any form during the Waiting Period"
Argos:
"Any medical Condition which occurred or existed in any form prior to the start of the
Insurance Policy."
Aviva:
"Any injury or illness which occurred or existed in any form prior to inception of the
policy."

"Any medical Condition which occurred or existed in any form prior to start of the

"Signs of Incidents which were apparent prior to the inception of the

"Any condition or complication directly resulting from a condition that has been

a) An injury that happened or an illness that first showed clinical signs before your
pet’s cover started, or
b) An injury or illness that is the same as, or has the same diagnosis or clinical signs as
an injury, illness or clinical sign your pet had before its cover started, or
c) An injury or illness that is caused by, relates to, or results from, an injury, illness or
clinical sign your pet had before its cover started, No matter where the injury, illness
or clinical signs are noticed or happen in, or on, your pet’s body. This is in addition to any
exclusion(s) stated on your Certificate of Insurance Animal Details."
