Your Pet On TV?

Would you like to see your pet on TV? With a new campaign involving Heart FM and MoreThan, you may be able to show off your pet on national TV.

Have you ever heard of Toby Anstis? I remember him from his early television days on CBBC. If you haven't heard of him before you may want to see the video below. It's a clip I found of him on YouTube - it's classic children's television from the '90's. If you do remember him this will bring back some lovely memories:

These days Mr Anstis is a radio DJ hosting a national radio show on Heart FM. But what's this got to do with your pet? Well Anstis' show on Heart FM have teamed up with MoreThan Insurance and, from 13th January 2010, the show will feature all kinds of offers for pet owners.

One potential promotion is the possibility of winning the opportunity for your pet to feature in a MoreThan TV advert. MoreThan started out their pet insurance TV campaign some years ago with Lucky the dog, who was always featured only just managing to escape an injury. The new adverts have done away with Lucky. They now feature music from Queen ("You're My Best Friend") and Simple Minds. You may also recognise the voiceover from Julian Barrett of Mighty Boosh fame. Watch MoreThan's latest TV ad at the time of writing below:

Heart FM can be found on freeview channel 728 between 10am and 1pm. It's the biggest show in the radio station's schedule, attracting over 3 million avid listeners and this is the first time the show has had a sponsor. The MoreThan deal is set to last for the whole of 2010 and doesn't just focus on pets but also their other lines of insurance - car, travel, home and life.
